AIDS.gov Has Become HIV.gov for a Good Reason

On June 5, 2017, The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) officially changed the name of AIDS.gov to HIV.gov. Why is this important? Because with major scientific advances, we what was once an almost universally fatal disease is now a condition that, if diagnosed and treated early and continuously, can be controlled and prevented from progressing to AIDS. And that’s good news for everyone.
