However, the process was noticeably slow, underscoring that while the capability exists, efficiency remains a work in progress. For now, the robot can take laundry off your hands, but you will need considerable patience.

Chinese company Pudu Robotics targeted commercial applications with its PUDU D7 humanoid robot. Already established in service and cleaning robots used across hospitality, retail, healthcare, and logistics, Pudu demonstrated the D7’s ability to pick up objects on request, pose for photos with visitors, take selfies from its own perspective, and form a heart shape with its hands. The IFA Robot Show became one of the fair’s most popular attractions, with humanoid robots and robotic pets taking to a runway to dance, perform Tai Chi, execute backflips, and even do the splits. Crowds packed the area, cheering and applauding as the machines performed.
Yet the show also provided a candid reminder of how far the technology still has to go. Some robots appeared noticeably unsteady after their performances.
