Sinagang Sa Miso na Salmon

Ingredients for Sinagang Sa Miso na Salmon

  • Garlic, onions, tomatoes & ginger
  • Salt & pepper and a little patis for flavor
  • Wild Salmon (prefer not Farm)
  • Baby mustard leaves
  • Dikon
  • Green long hot pepper
  • Sinigang mix (Tamarind Soup Mix)
  • Shiro Miso

Cut the Baby mustard leaves, then put it to the basin with cold water and Apple Cider Vinegar to clean the veggies especially if not organic.

Slice the Dikon, only to add flavor to the sinigang.

Mince the garlic.

2x small size onions shallots

Slice 1 ginger to help remove the “lansa” of fish. I intentionally cut it a little bigger to not eat later. You know the taste of ginger when you bite it. We don’t want that.

2x tomatoes, cut it in quarter.

Let’s start.

Sautee the garlic with oil, in 1-2 minutes then add the onions.

Wait for a couple of minutes, add the tomatoes and ginger.

Add 3x table spoon of Shira Miso, continue to mix.

Add 1x table spoon Fish Sauce

Add the Tamarind Soup Mix

Add the Black Pepper, continue to mix.

Add water 1/4 of the pot, depending on your taste you may add or reduce the water.

Wait for the water to boil.

Taste the flavor, if everything is perfect for your taste then add the Salmon and 2x Green long hot pepper

Let it boil and cook the Salmon.

Add the veggies, don’t mix just press it down.

Wait for a few minutes to cook (boil) the veggies and ready to eat.
