Windows Update Error Code 80244019 – SOLVED

Doing my routine Windows Server 2008 R2 DataCenter windows update and got this “Windows Update Error Code 80244019“. I said not again … but no worries it’s a simple fix for me.

All I’ve done is to restart the Windows Update service. Run “services.msc” scroll down till you see the Windows Update. See captured screen below.

After restarting Windows Update service. Run Windows Update again, you will be able to run your updates.

    Clear DNS Cache:
    1. Press Windows+ R key or Select Run from Start Menu
    2. Type Cmd and Press Enter
    3. Type ipconfig /flushdns and Press Enter
    4. Type ipconfig /registerdns Press Enter
    5. Exit
    After completing these steps, try to check for a Windows Update again. In case the problem persists, proceed to this website
